Bernier Island rosselli are highly prized by local divers. They are very large and heavy with huge flared bases. Few are collected and even less are in nice condition. This specimen was collected from a purple globe sponge in 74 metres of water in August 2017 on a low limestone reef west of Bernier Island off shark Bay. The shell has perfect siphons but has some small dorsal growth irregularities and a small patch of nacre blister on its columnar side as indicated by the green arrows in the photos and hence graded Fine++.
It is a very pretty shell with a interesting dorsal window and the classic Bernier Island form flared margins.
