Classic ketyana collected from a geodia sponge in a sponge garden in 85 metres of water west of Dorre Island in 2018. Very broad flared shell with classic burnt orange base and sparse dorsal fine pepper spot. The shell has a soft dorsal fold and a small slither of basal chip off it's anterior labial margin as indicated by the green arrow in the photos. This injury has been re-coated with nacre by the animal making it a natural defect. Given a gem would sell at 3000 euro plus it is good buying at this start price. Fine++.
