specimen's dorsal valve
exhibits a stunning display
of burgundy rays on a white background. The basal valve is magenta in colour with a distinct letter "W". The
priessiana form is
distinguished from type
fumatus that occurs in
Eastern Australia by a fine
radial grove that runs down
the centre of the large ribs on
the basal valve. |
