Magic jeaniana collected from a geodia sponge in 98 metres of water west of Dirk Hartog Island off Shark Bay in May 2023.
Very pretty with tan smudges on a chevron patterned dorsum, burnt orange rufinistic base and high apricot cream marginal callouses.
Unfortunately, the shell has an area on it's posterior dorsum above the spire with nacre windows. This is indicated by green arrows in the photos. Without this issue I would price the shell around 2,000 euro.
Other than this issue the shell is pretty well gem. The shell displays well and the nacre windows are barely noticeable but can clearly be seen on close inspection in reflected light. Fine++.
