Note
Deltoid shaped broad shell collected from a white funnel sponge in 172 metres of water west of Coral Bay in June 2017. The shell has fine tan speckles on a maliated dorsum and the classic flared cream base and gold lateral spots and siphon trim.
Aurata collected from the northern portion of their habitat range are noticeably broader and more bulbous than those collected further to the south.
Graded Fine+++ due to minor dorsal growth irregularity the shell has perfect siphons and is heavy and mature. Fine+++.
Exceptional and pretty shell !!!
