| Note | Lovely example of this unique cowrie from southern Africa. Great nacre luster, thick tuberculated margin on the labral side with a produced anterior siphon. Excellent dorsal blotch and perfect extremities complement this specimen. Collected by Scuba diver at 40 meters on reef between soft corals and sponges off Hout Bay, South Africa in 12/2019. The shell shows growth folds on the lateral wall of the labral side and a mild wobble on the dorsum, posterior ramp. Grade: F+++/GEM. |
