NoteSuperbly tented and triple banded large example of this Western Pacific species. The shell shows a blunted apex, perfect spire and thin natural lip. It exhibits moderate shoulder nodules throughout the posterior body whorl, The colors reveal a lovely crimson red pattern, complimented by maroon red/brown striping intermingled with pink folding pyramid patterns. The shell has a perfect off-white aperture with clean strong columellar plaits. Taken by diver at 20 meters on sand bottom off Banyuwangi, East Java, Indonesia. Negligible, but palpable, roughness on the lip and notch. Grade: F+++/GEM.
