Note | Hyper-inflated, extra large peach/gold exceptional Umbilia trawled from southern Australia. The specimen shows distinctive dark orange extremities, a large dark golden dorsal blotch and perfect extremities. Ultra-globular shell with deep nacre gloss, exceptional colors and fantastic shape, form and symmetry. Trawled at 140-150 meters on sand and rubble substrate in the Great Australian Bight, off Ceduna, South Australia in 1996. The shell shows the slightest minor subnacre wobble on the posterior ramp. Grade: GEM minus. |
