NoteCrabbed shell found trundling across the bottom in 212 metres of water west of Dongara during February 2023. We were surprised that gerondiosi was present on the Rottnest Shelf and this represents a southern extension of the species range. It was also a surprise to find that white specimens exist. Dead collected specimen with a growth interruption on its columnar side. The shells lip is in exceptional condition for a crabbed shell.
