NoteLarge, rock heavy Hawaiian specimen with an excellent weight/size ratio. The shell has a thick calloused base and margins with a typical distribution of glazed tubercles (bumps) along the lateral margins. Deep colors and impressive dorsal banding. Purple teeth complement the base which shows several subnacre concavities typical of the species. Subtle growth fold on the dorsum and two small glazed defects on the labral base area. The heavy beauty found by Scuba diver hidden in a cave crevice off Haleiwa, Oahu, Hawaii at 15-18 meters on a night dive in 2014. Grade: F+++.
