| Note | Solid and heavy weight deep water volute. The shell is deeply colored and approaches a brownish/ red hue. Large and solid shell with an exceptional thick and mature lip. Taken by fishermen by tangle net off Pilas Island, Mindanao, Philippines at 100-120 meters. There exists two growth fold interruptions on the ventral and dorsal main body whorls (one interruption identified by arrow. There is a small chip on the anterior natural lip edge. Grade: F+++. |
