| Note | One nice and large specimen of Argobuccinum pustulosum from Puerto Montt, southern Chile. This specimen has minimal nicks on the lip, and an eroded protoconch and part of the first whorl. This is a particularly nice specimen, without any pustule in its shell sculpture, a single varix in the teleoconch, and still with part of the periostracum remaining. It can be cleaned further. This specimen is in very good condition for the species, which is collected in southern Chile for food (and very often damaged). |
