| Note | Researched these two Epitoniidae and found some similarity with Gyroscala lamellosa but these specimens appear to be much broader, larger and not so narrow as Gy. lamellosa. Also the distribution of lamellosa put the location of these two specimens as the most South Western of the distribution. Graded GEM; LARGE specimen; with operculum. Perhap reasonable characteristics and distribution for a sub-species. Collected at low tide around sea anemones in sand pocket on reef top, Margaret River, South West Australia. |
