| Note | LOTTIIDAE - Lottia mitella. Looking for Lottias around the coastline I have never though that this is a species. I complete ignore and I was thinking is just a kind of juvenile Lottia species. After checking the pictures of many Mexican species finally I find out this is a real adult and huge Lottia mitella with 16.3mm and so perfect lines paterns, just amazing. Gem and Museum quality!! The best of the best you can get. Found attached on Volcanic sharp rocks near sea urchins at extremely low tide. Under Mirador Don Lupe, Punta Melaque , Jalisco, Mexico. April 2022. Collected by Eduardo Amador Moreno and Jose Antonio Ramirez Guillen. MEXICO PACIFIC. Value: 16 euro. |
