Note | A superb specimen of this endemic north-western Australian subspecies. Rich and beautiful colour: pale pinkish cinnamon with caramel maculae and lavender terminals. Very difficult to obtain now, especially at this size and quality. For the Cypraeidae specialist whose collection yet lacks the dampierensis subspecies. Size: 13.9 mm (length). Grading: Gem. Data: Off Cape Keraudren, Pilbara Region, Western Australia, Australia; upon sand/reef substrate, under slab at extreme low tide; 1982. Provenance: JES private collection; Melbourne/London. |
