Note | A rare and outstanding specimen in which the substrate-influenced colour almost envelops the entire shell, giving the external surface the appearance of burnished mahogany. Fully mature, virtually perfect outer apertural lip, and perfect siphonal canal. One axial growth disruption to columellar side of body whorl. (Image available upon request.) The ONLY specimen I have to offer of this particular form. Now obtainable only from choice old collections. For the Volutidae specialist interested in rare variations. Size: 94.1 mm (length).
