Note | A magnificent specimen of this rare, remarkable, recently described endemic South Australian subspecies, (The Festivus; 49:1; pp.45-51). The subspecies occurs within a very limited geographic range, and differs entirely from the nominate subspecies in lacking all pattern, and being uniform pale lemon-cream, with rich yellow-cream apertural interior. One of the FINEST known, live-collected specimens, with PERFECT, fully mature outer apertural lip and siphonal canal. Retention of original operculum. Seldom offered upon the world market, especially at such an exceptional level of quality. An opportunity for the advanced Volutidae specialist to acquire a first-rate specimen of this elusive and beautiful subspecies. Size: 38.6 mm (length). Grading: Gem.
