Note | Like the other very few tropical Pacific Cypraea species which range far South into the waters of New South Wales, listeri melvilli is of far rarer occurrence at its southern range limit than in Queensland, and New South Wales examples are highly sought after by the Cypraeidae specialist seeking a comprehensive collection of locality variants. Ultra-large size. Well-developed white margins of marked callosity, decorated with large bluish purple maculae. Size: 22.5 mm (length). Grading: Gem.
