Note | A magnificent specimen of the very seldom offered Queensland form, from an uncommon locality, in which the apertural interior colour, rather than being of the typical reddish brown, is a brilliant deep golden yellow, contrasting to striking aesthetic effect with the pure white shell, and delicate pink apex. Large size. Hypermature. A truly exquisite seashell. Size: 22.6 mm (length). Grading: Gem. Data: Off Cooktown, Cape York Peninsula, Queensland, Australia; upon reef/rubble/sand substrate, under coral slab at extreme seasonal low tide; 1992.
