| Note | A superb specimen of this deep-water, endemic Queensland species. Exemplary state of preservation of spines and elongate siphonal canal. Ultra-large protoconch intact. Particularly brilliant white, as opposed to typical cream. A product of the legendary 1980s Queensland trawls, and now obtainable only from choice old collections. Size: 83.2 mm (length). Grading: F++++; w/o. Data: Swain Reefs, Queensland, Australia; upon sand substrate; 60-80 m; dredged; 1982. Provenance: JES private collection; Melbourne/London. |
