Note | Commencing over recent auctions, we are working our way through the most outstanding and SPECIAL armeniaca of the JES Collection, all of the classic, much coveted, no longer freshly available Great Australian Bight form. SPECIMEN 4: An exceptional specimen, exhibiting an enormous cloud of rich caramel-ochre occupying almost the entire dorsum, partnered by a further linear cloud of the same colour upon the labral side of the dorsum, the two clouds being separated by a well-delineated mantle line and area of white-lemon ground. Hypermature, with prominent dorsal ridging. Size: 86 mm (length). Grading: Gem. Data: Great Australian Bight, off Eucla, Western Australia, Australia; upon sand substrate; 140-150 m; 2000.
