Note | This rare Cassidae is occasionally collected crabbed from lobster pots but live collected specimens are extremely rare. Occasionally a crabbed shell will be offered as live taken with the incorrect operculum. As can be seen in the photos this species operculum is very distinctive. Personally ROV collected west of Steep Point off Shark Bay crawling on silty sand in 170 metres of water. GEM- W/O |
