Note | A superb lamellosa - high quality; balanced proportions; beautiful rich caramel colour, contrasting superbly with pure white apertural interior. Ultra-clean, with no encrustation, nor erosion. The specimen was formerly in the famous US collection of Gary L. Heit of Texas, and the original 1980s Heit label accompanies the specimen. Size: 54.8 mm (length). Grading: Gem. Data: Puget Sound, off Edmonds, Snohomish County, Washington, USA; upon mud/sand/rubble substrate, at low tide; 1988. Provenance: JES private collection; Melbourne/London. |
