Note | This truly outstanding specimen is the BEST Quobba jeaniana of the JES Collection in every respect: size; form; colour; pattern. Ultra-dark colours throughout. Large, coalescent chestnut dorsal maculae, in a design of the highest aesthetic merit, upon a golden honey and bluish lavender ground, with a superbly formed mantle line. Spectacular burnt orange margins, decorated with large chectnut maculae. Markedly inflated ovate form of supreme symmtery, apparent when viewed from a dorsal perspective. Hypermature, with particularly broad, convex ventrum, and pronounced solidity. The absolute zenith of expression for the Quobba form. An exceptional jeaniana for the Zoila connoisseur. Size: 77.7 mm (length). Grading: Gem. Data: Off Point Quobba, Gascoyne Region, Western Australia; upon reef substrate, upon sponge; 34 m; dived; 2004.
