Note | On offer is a rare, semi-albinistic deep-sea form of Compsocidaris pyrsacantha (Ikeda, 1939) 66.3 mm. This specimen was trawled below 200 m in a very remote locality off Stylaster and Juneaux Seamount, south of Norfolk Ridge, Pacific Ocean. This piece is of exceptional quality, exhibiting a pristine white test with light pink tubercles, and hot pink preserved spines as part of the apical system for enhanced visual impact. An outstanding specimen.
