Size | 30 mm |
Locality | Australia |
Note | The ONLY specimen of the Western Australian I have ever seen exhibiting this atypical palette: ultra-rich cream dorum, with large maculations of rich caramel-peach; creamy yellowish ivory margins; with large chocolate maculae; reddish chestnut dentition. Particularly thick deposition of rich cream nacre to margins. Completely different to the usual blue-green palette. A special Western Australian pyriformis for the Cypraeidae specialist interested in uncommon variants. Size: 30 mm (length). Grading: Gem. Data: Off Broome, Kimberley Region, Western Australia, Australia; upon reef rubble/sand substrate, under small slab; 14 m; dived; 1998. |
