Note | A very large and superb specimen of the beautiful Apollo Bay form - characterised by a rich pinkish cream ground; dense patterns of highly angulate axial zigzags; and ultra-clean shells, with no substrate discoloration. PERFECT fully mature outer apertural lip. Typical restricted natural loss to siphonal canal. From the 'old days' of availability, and now obtainable only from old collections. Size: 190.6 mm (length). Grading: F++++. Data: Off Henty Reef, Apollo Bay, Victoria, Australia; upon sand/rubble substrate; 20-30 m; craypot; 1982. |
