| Note | A superb specimen of the REAL duffusi - an eastern Australian endemic species. Exceptional state of preservation for a delicate, deep-water trawled specimen. Unusual flattened, bulbous protoconch intact. Fresh specimens no longer available, as the region whence the specimen comes is now protected under the Solitary Islands Marine Park. For the Muricidae specialist. Size: 27.9 mm (length). Grading: Gem; w/o. Data: Off Coffs Harbour, Mid North Coast, New South Wales, Australia; upon sand substrate; 30-70 m; trawled; 1986.
