Size | 52.8 mm, w/o |

Note | If not actually UNIQUE, then certainly exceedingly rare, as, in my decades of collecting, I have never encountered another specimen exhibiting this exquisite colour: rich peach-PINK-apricot, with accents of pale orangish caramel, and a distinct register of lavender upon the body whorl towards the outer apertural lip. An incredible example of the Western Australian form, from an uncommon, remote locality. Definitely for the Strombidae specialist, or admirer of truly rare and exquisite seashells. Size: 52.8 mm (length). Grading: F++++. Data: Off Point Samson, Pilbara Region, Western Australia, Australia; upon sand substrate at low tide; 1987. Provenance: JES private collection; Melbourne/London. |
