Note | F++/F+++, VERY RARE SPECIES SELDOM OFFER FROM NEW CALEDONIA. Superb live specimen taken by French survey vessel from very deep water. Very heavy mature thick specimen with rich orange base and callous margin. Characteristic white band above the margin. Live animal preserved dried inside the shell. This shell was perfect gem until a mishap which the shell drop and the tip of the anterior extremities suffer chipped during the fall. If Gem, this is a 2500 to 3000 Euro shell. Starting at a really low attractive price. Other than the chipped anterior extremities, the shell is in gem condition. This species is no longer collected as trawling is prohibited in New Caledonia and only specimen from old collection occasionally appear like this. Don't miss this rare opportunity !!! |
