Item | # 0002320644 | Family | Cypraeidae | Name | Zoila venusta episema - HUGE ATTRACTIVE SPECIMEN , RARE SIZE. (Iredale, 1939) |
Size | 81.1 mm |
Locality | Geographe Bay, Busselton, S.W.A. |
Note | This is a specimen that stands out amongst most other specimens of venusta episema from Busselton. At nearly 81mm it is an impressive size. In addition it is a beautiful dark specimen. The margins are wonderfully unusual with a frosted grey colour highlighted with an amazing blue coloured halo above the margins, unfortunately not represented well in my images. Graded FINE++ with some very fine and micro silting over the dorsum and one small fish bite glossed over. Diver collected in 12M of depth on sponge on small cave wall, Ludlow, Geographe Bay, Busselton, South West Australia. ALL REFECTIONS ARE FROM THE CAMERA LIGHTING. |
