| Note | A superb, ultra-large specimen of the deep-water form, exhibiting characteristic rich red-orange colour and prolific, closely-spaced axial lines. Rare quality. Outer apertural lip with completely natural and typical restricted micro fraying to anterior, seen in several solid Queensland species, (e.g. Cymbiolacca perplicata), when the lip is left in its natural state, as opposed to being smoothed. Size: 49.4 mm (length). Grading: F++++. Data: Off Sandy Cape, Fraser Island, Queensland; upon sand substrate; 20 m; dredged; 1990. Provenance: JES private collection; Melbourne/London. |
