Note | Due to my wife's medical condition, I have been unable to put a more comprehensive list of specimens together for this shellauction. But what I have done is selected 12 quality cypraea specimens of a unique form and of high quality for your consideration.
This is one of my favourite friendii, that I have held onto for some years. It is amazingly mature with a weight not recognised by its size and it exhibits a very convex base that wavers along its length from canal to canal. These canals are also GONDOLA in shape and exhibit ROSTRATE characteristics, that extends the shells length past 80mm, surprisingly when you consider how narrow the specimen looks. An overall unique specimen graded GEM- with a very soft growth wobble. Diver collected in 18M on rock wall, off Quinn's Rock North of Perth, Western Australia. ALL REFECTIONS ARE FROM THE CAMERA LIGHTING. |
