Ultra-large, well-formed central maculation of dark reddish chestnut, adrift amongst a pale greyish blue sea, with absolutely no other dorsal markings, an essential element for the connoisseur of this species. Now obtainable only from old collections. Size: 22.3 mm (length). Grading: Gem. Data: Off Port Hedland, Western Australia, Australia; upon reef substrate, under slab at extreme seasonal low tide; 1982. Provenance: JES private collection; Melbourne/London. |
