| Note | The RARE ABROLHOS ISLAND FORM of Cypraea rosselli flamenco (Lorenz, 2018) is for me the absolute supreme form of the rosselli complex. The shape for me is superior with the flared extremities and beautiful side profiles. This specimen is a good larger size for this location. It is a very attractive and stunning specimen. The dorsal markings are very appealing with the bronze coloured mantle line with a small white window. The overall side profiles are wonderful with the base edge outlined in a cream colour. Graded FINE++ due only to a tiny glossed chip in of the anterior canal and a some base edge and base nacre windows, these irregularities are very common occurrences on this form. Presentation is just wonderful as seen on the images. Diver taken in 40M. off Northern Island, Abrolhos Islands, Central West Australia. |
