AMORIA DAMONI: A superb specimen exhibiting a truly beautiful pattern of a variety which falls somewhere in between typical damoni and the ludbrookae / keatsiana variants. Very minor roughening to anterior region of completely natural outer apertural lip, but otherwise exemplary. A product of the legendary 1970s Taiwanese trawling operations undertaken off the Northern coast of Australia, now obtainable only from old collections. For the Volutidae specialist. Size: 73 mm (length). Grading: F+++. Data: Off Wadeye, (Port Keats), Northern Territory, Australia; upon sand/mud/rubble substrate; 200-300 m; trawled; 1974.
