Another opportunity to acquire outstanding and unique seashells from one of the world’s pre-eminent collections. CYMBIOLENA MAGNIFICA ALTISPIRA: The BEST specimen I have ever handled of this supremely beautiful, endemic deep-water Queensland subspecies. Outstanding pattern. Beautiful colour: pattern of rich caramel across an antique ivory ground. Atypically slender and elongate form. Typical slight roughening to completely natural outer apertural lip, much preferable to the connoisseur to the heavy smoothing carried out upon virtually every specimen collected, and it is for this reason, in conjunction with its size and magnificent pattern, that I retained this specimen as the BEST I have seen. A product of the legendary 1980s Queensland trawls, now obtainable only from old collections. (Note: To provide adequate protection in a very large parcel, I will round down postage for this enormous specimen to 40 EUR to anywhere in the world.) Size: c.235 mm (length). Grading: F+++.
