AMORIA DAMPIERIA: This diminutive volute, one of the smallest endemic Australian Volutidae species, is seldom found without some extent of damage. Few specimens attain the perfection of the current example. Perfectly formed pattern. Fully mature, greatly thickened outer apertural lip. Solid for size. Its locality, Weld Island, (only around 48 hectares in size), is now a nature reserve, and no fresh specimens will be available in future. Now only obtainable from old collections.
