Another opportunity to acquire outstanding and unique seashells from one of the world’s pre-eminent collections. CYPRAEA SPURCA SANCTAHELENAE: The BEST specimen I have ever seen of this extremely rare subspecies, endemic to the tiny, isolated volcanic island of Saint Helena, (measuring only 16 × 8 km, and being one of the most remote islands in the world). Incredible colour and pattern: dorsum densely stippled with caramel maculae; chocolate marginal maculae subsumed in white with a hint of lavender; pure porcellaneous white ventrum. Hypermature, with pronounced marginal callosity and distinct periphery. Immaculately curated in my privation collection for three decades, with the appearance of having been collected this year. Almost impossible to obtain now, coming only from the best and most comprehensive old collections. A true opportunity for the Cypraeidae specialist to acquire a 'best of the best' example of this great rarity. Size: 24.1 mm (length). Grading: Gem.
