Note

EXTREMELY RARE VARIATION FOR THIS SPECIES!! For advancer collectors, researchers and scientists. To be analyzed and studied. These specimens, discovered by my friend Mario Anguiano ( may he rest in peace) were found only twice in history; each specimen was attached to a living shell of a PINNIDAE—Atrina maura (Sowerby, 1835). Buried in the muddy silt, they live exclusively there in a mutualistic relationship with this species, and each specimen is completely granulate, with no true scales, with a unique spire nodules shape and an intact apex. Most are giants like this one. He gave me some in the past. They were never found again, and my friend took the secret of their discovery to his grave. I sold some in the past and kept a couple in my private collection; this is the last one I have to offer. Check it out, it’s a totally different, unique variation from what is known as Vitularia salebrosa. A new variation to be studied, with the only known specimens on record. Rare Giant size with Irresistible unique Granulate structure form with the most elegant shoulder-spire nodules, phenomenal elongated-wide superb spire with intact apex. Thick massive lip with orange-brown outline aperture between the white inside color, original operculum and intact siphon. Golden light brown color form. Exclusive high conditions for the species, Gem-F+++. Found attached between Atrina maura shell inside mud about 6m-9m deep. Near Escollera el Eden, Laguna de Cuyutlan, Manzanillo, Jalisco, Mexico. June 2018. Estimated value between 50 euros for such a rare new variation found in the past. Good luck and happy shelling. MEXICO PACIFIC
