| Note | EXTREMELY RARE MURICIDAE SPECIES IN MEXICO!! This species is, in a way, extremely hard to find, truly rare. Even if you do a lot of extreme diving—searching under rocks or stirring up the sand—you might find one to three a year. This is my average after many years. They are completely solitary and are always buried in the sand or clinging to buried rocks, making them almost impossible to find—it takes a lot of luck, even when you search meticulously over and over again. Live collected with original operculum. This is a mythical species in my region , almost impossible to get, really rare , probably the populations are so small and they are really buried in deep, I have found some attached in buried stones about 20-30cm under the muddy sand making so hard to find. The shell shows a Special sculpture with elegant thick varices, amazing superb spire with great apex, aperture very wide with glossy porcelain effect, the lip shows a great thickness, siphon intact and crazy unusual dark brown-reddish banding pattern all around. I have found about 10 in all my career, more than one decade. Ultra rare seldom seen species in Mexico. Absent in many collections, here the unique opportunity to get this rarity with superb conditions for the species. Some light erosion on top as usual not really harming this rare beauty. F+++. Found attached in big buried stone(15cm buried) about 5m to 6m deep. Isla Toriz, Melaque, Jalisco, Mexico. August 2026. Estimated value between 80-100 euro. Good luck and Happy shelling!!!
