EXTRAORDINARY VERY RARE UNDESCRIBED SPECIES!! While on a short shell trip in Puerto Vallarta, I found some incredible specimens. When searching for more detailed information and images, the only similarity I found was with Zetecopsis pauxilla (A. Adams, 1854). But even so, it has unique characteristics, from its well-formed spines and scales to its color, texture, and shape. It is undoubtedly a species that should be analyzed by experts and researchers. Possibly a new species. This extraordinary unique masterpiece has a really elegant dark brown and black background colors between the white spots and white spire-apex. The apex is just a dream with the intact delicate excellent conditions. The shell display the most elegant scales and long curved spines all around well distributed with aesthetic conditions, micro scales banding form. Intact conditions, Gem. Found attached and buried between small particularly buried stones platforms with thick granulate sand about 2-4m deep. Near Playa Punta Negra, Puerto Vallarta, Bahia de Banderas, Jalisco, Mexico. September 2026. Estimated value for this very rare undescribed species, no idea! The sky is the limit. For advancer collectors, researchers, scientists and aesthetics lovers.
