Large, robust and distinctive light patterned umbilia from the colder water. The specimen displays an interesting dorsal light, well-balanced blotched maculae patterning and a strong weight/size ratio (83.5 grams). The lateral wall spotting is sparse/distant, with a wide and diffused dorsal line and balanced anatomical form. The subtle patterns highlight the remarkable porcelain antique white primary color, phenomenal gloss, porcelainized China-white base and significant rostration. The Umbila was trawled off Lakes Entrance, Victoria, Australia at 140-150 meters in 2008. The shell presents with typical silt stains on the base between teeth and a wobble on the labral lateral wall and posterior ramp. Grade: F++.
