Note
Extremely rare species, inhabits great depths of up to 1200m on the outer continental shelf. Fantastic live-taken specimen from an old collection, impossible to acquire now. Large size and good condition, with the spire and shoulder spines being predominately intact. Has a healed hole on the side of the shell, presumably from a predator attack which the shell has sealed off ~ F++. Covered in a chalky layer of periostracum which can be removed.
