In the period from 2008 to 2016 we collected a few very different jeaniana that were cream shells with a bird wing like chevron dorsal pattern. I elected to refer to them as "inscripta" as they could be considered to have text on their dorsa and the proximity to Cape Inscription on the north end of Dirk Hartog Island. On a more recent trip in June 2026 we found a few more. We have not had any stock for over six years. The shell is a classic "inscripta" with a mauve tan bird wing pattern, an apricot base and rich golden siphons. The shell was collected from a geodia sponge in 114 metres of water west of Dirk Hartog Island during May 2026. Graded Fine due to the obvious growth fold to top of dorsum and odd dark brown inclusions in the nacre. Started at 200 euro to allow the posting of four photos.
