Thick margins, phenomenal flaring of the posterior margins with sharply humped dorsum highlight this larger and heavier specimen (35 grams). The shell features excellent nacre gloss, black top with deep chocolate ramps and walls and a sandstone/fire orange longitudinal window. Collected approximately 45 km west of Cape Cuvier, Western Australia, by ROV on sponge in 2015. Leg Ray Walker, EX: Andrew Edinger. The shell displays under magnification some typical and subtle nacre repaired areas on the anterior base edges, the posterior columellar extremity tip with micro blemishes on the dorsum and base, not visible in photographs. Grade: F+++.
