Zoila thersites - Very White Shell !!! , (Gaskoin, 1849)

Note
This specimen was collected by trawler from 68 metres of water off Port Lincoln in South Australia. Very white for an inshore shell. Based on its colour could be considered a thersites contraria or perhaps transitional between thersites and contraria. A solid and white shell with chocolate markings covering the dorsum bordered with brown sides and a two tone base. Graded Fine+ due to a silty dorsum and chips to both siphons. Populations have been decimated by climate change and over collecting. Populations are so low I am unaware of any diver targeting them. The South Australian Government has protected them by placing a daily bag limit on them of one specimen a day if you are lucky enough to find one.
