Note
During June 2026 we put considerable effort into searching for new shells west of Cape Cuvier. We found a new population of jeaniana in 88 metres of water 40km west of Cape Cuvier. Coloration is quite similar to praeclara with shells having dark dorsa, ink black bases and high cream side callouses. They are small shells ranging from 55 to 70mm in length and with a typical jeaniana shape. This is the largest specimen we found and very pretty with a brown dorsum, ink black base, black spotted high cream margins and gold trimmed black siphon trim. This specimen is graded Fine++/Fine+++ as the dorsum is a little growthy. The shells siphons are well developed and intact.
