NoteThis truly ‘superb’ ULTRA-LARGE specimen lives up to its epithet, exhibiting beautiful ultra-rich colour, and a dense, supremely well-formed pattern of the highest aesthetic merit. It is extremely difficult to obtain a central Philippnes specimen of this size and quality now, as almost all collecting in the Visayas has ceased. A rare opportunity for a Pectinidae connoisseur. Data: Off Punta Engano, Mactan, Cebu, Philippines; 10-20 m; dived; 1994. Size: 63.9 mm. Grading: Gem. Provenance: JES Collection; London / Melbourne.
