In the period from 2008 to 2016 we collected a few very different jeaniana that were cream shells with a bird wing like chevron dorsal pattern. I elected to refer to them as "inscripta" as they could be considered to have text on their dorsa and the proximity to Cape Inscription on the north end of Dirk Hartog Island. On a more recent trip in June 2026 we found a few more. We have not had any stock for over years. The crabbed shell is a classic "inscripta" with a mauve tan bird wing pattern, a creamy apricot base and golden siphons. Collected from a sponge garden in 112 metres of water west of Dirk Hartog Island during June 2026. Unfortunately both siphons have been broken and an obvious dorsal growth irregularity, however a good example of a dwarf inscripta for your collection.
